Tenerife, the largest of the seven Canary Islands, is located in the Atlantic Ocean, very close to the African cost. Due to its geographical location, it has an excellent climate all year round: Tenerife is also called the island of the everlasting spring, with an average temperature of 20ºC in winter, and 25ºC in summer. The Capital of the island is Santa Cruz de Tenerife

The island offers a wide variety of microclimates, landscapes and different ecosystems. Black sand vulcanic beaches in the North of the Island, extense white sand beaches in the south, vulcanic landcapes, trekking pathways, deep gorges and many protected areas, everything to enjoy the nature and wilderness. One of the most important places is Mount Teide, the highest mountain in Spain (3.718 m.).

The island invites to adventure and practising all kind of sports: trekking, sailing, surf, horse riding, parachuting, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Tenerife offers also a complete cultural calendar. All year round there are theatre, photograpic exhibition, and music concerts. The renowned Tenerife Simphonic Orchestra plays in different parts of the island, and the International Festival of Music host every year the best simphonic orchestras of the world.

The canarian cuisine is another surprise in Tenerife. The island has kept their traditional recipes, mixed with new flavours. Delicious local fish and seafood, cheeses, excelent wines, honey or "gofio" (canarian toasted flour) are just a few examples of what the canarian gastronomy can offer.
